Tips for washing your braids
*ALWAYS wash in COLD water*
This is essential for your braids. If you wash in warm or hot water, your braid could shrink!
*Wash in a delicate cycle with like colors or solo*
This is also a good idea. A delicate cycle will be gentler to your braid and hardware (if you have some).
I like to wash my braids solo, however you can wash them with like colors that have already been washed.
Never put your braids in with clothes that have never been washed before. They might bleed their color onto your braids!
*If yours has hardware, put it in a mesh bag*
This is a good way to protect your hardware (and your washer!) from getting banged up.
*Always Hang Dry*
Never, never, never put your braids in the dryer!
Too much heat will make them shrink, but this is also a fire hazard!
I hang mine out to dry outside in the sun, but you can simply lay them out on a table for a few hours.
*If you are ever unsure about using the washing machine for your braids, just hand wash them!*
This is a sure way to know your braids will get cleaned gently!
Cold water and some soap go a long way to getting the mud and dust out of your braid.
